Steel Rail

Welcome to the official site of Canadian country-folk band Steel Rail: Tod Gorr, Ellen Shizgal and Dave Clarke.

After a spring tour of Central Canada, Tod, Ellen and Dave are brainstorming and songwriting for a new album slated for release next year. The Steel Rail songbook contains several as-yet unrecorded songs, including several country-inflected songs by assorted band members. Don't be surprised if the next album has a distinctly country flavour.

In other news, a guitar instrumental by Dave has been selected for the theme music of the
CBC Radio program North by Northwest, which is heard Saturday and Sunday mornings throughout the province of British Columbia. The song, Over the Malahat, is on Dave's new solo album, Reunion.
